In recent weeks TalkDev.com has been under constant attack by spammers and particularly spam robots. In an effort to address this issue we have implemented several new enhancements to our forums software, member profiles and new member registration process. We will also be implementing changes to our policy on member signatures where a set number of posts will be required before signatures can be used within posts.

Of particular interest to our members are a number of new fields added to your member profiles and member profile pages including the following:

Name - Required - Members real name
State or Province - Required - State and province drop down list
Country - Required - Country drop down list.
Directories Owned - Optional - Expanded text field where we encourage our members to list their directories.

Other member profile fields have been changed to provide expanded text areas.

We encourage all of our members to take a moment to edit and update their member profile information. This will not only help you and our community but will also go a long way in helping us fight against future spam attacks.
