What do you think about Microsoft Offering over 46 Billion in cash and Stock to yahoo, They claim that Advertising Earns 40 billion in ads alone and is estimated to double by 2009 to 80 Billion +

Personally selling Yahoo would be a silly move. Sure, having 46 Billion dollars up front would be excellent, but they are most likely right- they earn ridiculous amounts of cash off advertisement alone. Within 2-3 years they'd have over double of that offer. No reason to stop when you're almost at the tip of the mountain.

From what they have announced so far, it seems Yahoo would be better off not selling out to MicroSoft but I think there is alot more to this deal than what they have announced so far. It will be real interesting to learn over the next few days what exactly MicroSoft has added to sweeten the pot. One thing for sure, they definetely want to buy Yahoo in a bad way. Surprise, Surprise
