That logo you paid for. Who owns the copyright? You? Are you sure? Did the graphic designer actually assign you copyright? In writing?... It's worth checking to ensure you will have full legal rights to any design work (if desired) before you have it commisioned. If you don't, it always belongs to the originator. Chase it now before it's too late. this following letter is the letter that i use to transfer copyrights use it as an example: Quote:

Hey .insane, a great post from you once again, im in London at a conference and ive herd alot about copyright, this is not leagle advice they say but they say all you have to do is put " (c) Copyright your company name " and it should be fine.
But there is this question like you say, when you sell a site and it has copyright on it, if its not copyright to the company/site you bought then do you get owner ship of copyright. A Good form (Y) keep it work mate. |

(c) Company Name that it is only copyright to you if you made the design or what not and if you are the original creator of the item, now lets say i make a site and i sell it to person b he does not own the copyright to the site unless i transfer the copyright even if he already paid for the site you still have to have a written transfer of the copyright
