Whats the difference?

Whats the difference between Html and xhtml? Isn't that the same thing and if not what makes them so different. I ran into a site that does xhtml but all i know html for now.

XHTML is the combination of both the complexity of HTML and the Extension of XML.

Hi

HTML and XHTML is same things but in the XHTML rules are very strict then HTML. In html some tags are optional but not in XHTML.
