so i followed the tip about coding for firefox and then edit for IE.
I made a new CSS website(http://matres.gloomb.com) and the menu works in FF but if you hover in IE it will delete the paddings. I tryed to solve but it didn't work can anyone help me? thx 8)

i don't understand why you are using percentages for padding and width, when it's in a fixed width containter, doesn't make sense.
also i would use and ul not ol, and you also need to style the ul/ol so something like #sidebar ul { padding: 0; margin:0; } |

I haven't looked at the code but as for the above response, I have to agree. Percentages are just trouble when you don't require the flexability. And by the way, IE just stinks, it took me weeks to fix my site to fit IE7 so good luck!
