Hi,
i think it is also necessary to have at least a basic understanding of css and html for you easily grasp knowledge about PHP. i think you first study about html than css then move on to PHP. its a chain reaction. all are beneficial to each other. just my two cents.

you are right juliat. First you need to clear your basic in web design. Then you can go for PHP.
Its like that "you don't know the Alphabet and ready to write the Economics Book.

For books go for Google, man

I've always found that HTML is a great building block for web design, a excellent starting point for any beginner. After you pick up on it, I'd say you are free to breeze through php.

Firstly clear you HTML then go for PHP, without knowing HTML you can't learn PHP anymore. so you must know everything about HTML.
