Learn how to make a sleek text design with shine. Category: Photoshop Difficulty: Easy 3 EASY STEPS TO MAKE STYLISH TEXT Step 1 Start off with a blank document, preferably a dark background (any size will do). Get any font (I used Trebuchet MS) and write out anything you want! ![]() I put one word in bold as it seperates the 2 words put together. Step 2 Put a neutral colour as one word, and a bright colour on the other. Preferably the neutral colour goes on the bold word. ![]() Step 3 Now were off to the settings! Double click the text layer in the layer palette. Click 'Gradient Overlay' and use the following settings: Blend Mode: Overlay Opacity: 50% Now goto 'Drop Shadow'. Use the following settings: Blend Mode: Overlay (#000000) Opacity: Depending on the background, go up and down and find out which looks the best. I chose '25%' Distance: 2 Spread: 0 Size: 0 Now goto 'Inner Shadow'. Use the following settings: Blend Mode: Overlay (#000000) Opacity: 45% Distance: 1 Choke: 0 Size: 1 After these settings are applied you should end up with something like this: ![]() Add some effects to it and vwala! ![]() Thanks! |
