Learn to make a simple text and image logo.

Start by making a new photoshop document with the size 300x200 with a white background. Choose a shape, ive chosen a talk bubble.
The bubble points to the right, to change this hold down controle t, pull the middle left side to the right and the talk bubble should flip over.
Now put your text, im using
a size of 48 and the font MS dialog. Make the characters on the black talk bubble white and the rest of the characters
orange.
Now click
Add a Layer Style and go down and click Stroke...
Make the
stroke (border of the text)
4pixel wide and choose the colour black.

You should now have this:
Add your website url and make it Bold and Italic.
You now know how to make a simple text logo.
